览众全数字氩弧焊机焊接时，保护气体从焊枪喷嘴中连续不断地喷出，覆盖在电弧、熔池、钨极及填充焊丝组成的焊接区的外围，形成局部气体保护层，有效地将空气与焊接区隔绝；焊丝通过手动或送丝机输送的熔池前部边缘并在电弧热量下熔化，熔化的焊丝金属通过熔池前壁流人熔池，电弧向前行走后，熔池结晶形成焊缝，如图所示。这类焊接方法的焊接过程具有良好的稳定性，易于获得质量优良的焊缝。
